Retail space design
The architecture of this project is a 3-storey shophouse, built in the late 19th century in Suabng Jaya. The store consists of 3 different floors, which are the retail store at the ground level, exhibition space at the second level and learning area at the third level. The main idea here is to provide customers a shopping experience that involves different activities in each different floors. This provide customers an opportunity to integrate with the brand’s unique history, value and production quality.
Leica Camera AG is a well-known classic camera brand from Germany with more than a hundred years of history. The design concept of the retail store is mainly inspired by the fundamental form of lines developed from the form of a camera lens. Materials such as glass, mirror, metal finishes and terrazzo tiles are used within the space to create a simple, clean and minimalist look and let the products to stands out.
